Sony Ericsson Jalou Dolce And Gabbana – Mobile Phones With Style

We all know that Sony Ericsson is no stranger to the beautiful design of mobile phones, but by collaborating with Dolce & Gabbana they hope to release the most beautiful and fashionable models -coveted version of their Jalou handset. As a special rose red edition of the Jalou flip phone handset the Dolce & Gabbana version is already narrowing their business to fashion users. But does it have the same style?

The body of the phone seems to follow the face-cut crystal, measuring an incredible pocket, palm and hand-friendly 73×18.2mm (HxD) with a light 84 grams. The screen is only 1.3 inches, a far cry from the 3 “smartphone screens we are used to, however it is divided into two mirrors with the press of the mirror button, which is good for making- As a flip phone, when the phone is closed it looks incredible and stylish and the time is clearly visible.

With the minuscule screen we were not very happy to try to search the Internet on Jalou, and with good reason – the images appeared old and pixelled compared to other recent models. Despite these negative images we were happy to discover that the speed is not too slow, so it is easy to check the truth when leaving and about, but you will not want to do one difficult investigation.

We love Jalou’s multitasking capabilities, letting us leave games, music and apps running in the background while we text or e-mail. In addition, as it seems that all new phones have been processed for the Facebook database, having the Facebook app pre-installed on the phone is a good thing. When you install the app, you can see friends’ updates and notifications on the home screen easily and the mail app allows you to access your inbox messages.

The SMS-conversation allows you to continue with the conversation between friends and the quality of the calls is amazing. At 3.2 megapixels the camera is average and capable of video and photos, however the lack of flash is surprising for a release from Sony Ericsson. Although the photos taken during the day are very beautiful.

As for what we don’t like, we’re sorry to say it’s a lot! Fashionista stats aside, the phone looks pretty good. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that we have come across in Sony Ericsson phones, but we are still disappointed by it. Connectivity is broken, because Jalou only has GPRS, 3G, HSDPA, USB and Bluetooth. Without Wi-Fi you can expect to pay a lot for browsing. The internal memory is also odd 100MB which is not worth mentioning, but you can expand the memory on the card.

Sony Ericsson seems to have marketed this phone to women who love fashion, trying to make the handset attractive, fashionable and compact, with the addition of stereotypical extras such as a mirror. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cut the mustard with modern women avoiding analysis as they want apps, a good screen, a good camera, a satellite navigation app and push e-mail.

The weirdness seems to start with the shape of the phone, however it doesn’t end there because the buttons on the keyboard are just weird. The control pad is hexagonal so trying to press the direction key is often confusing. Typing is not acceptable, however small diamonds of all importance are sure to fall from use and look less expensive and, again, stereotypical.

Despite all these complaints our biggest bug is the small screen. Although the speed of the internet is not terrible, the screen is far to small to get the best results of the search and most of the features are difficult to do on the big screen.

To conclude Dolce & Gabbana Jalou is a suitable phone that little girls will love. Indeed we think that the only people who deserve a phone like this are little girls. If you are a fashionista for Sony Ericsson and want to buy this phone we say don’t bother, there are plenty of other phones available that look and perform better than this one at a similar price.
