Let you start off on the right foot, Jellof rice is the most widely eaten of all Nigerian rice recipes and below is how to make jellof rice

Let’s cook rice with chicken for 5 to 6 people.

Ingredients include:

* Fresh tomatoes (whole medium mixture) or chopped 15 to 20 packs,

* Chicken 1 kg

* Maggi seasoning

* Curry powder (1/2 tablespoons)

* thyme seasoning

* Onion 2 packs

* Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation: parboil the rice for about 10 minutes, wash and set aside, mix or chop the tomatoes and set aside, wash the chicken with hot water and parboil with salt, maggi seasoning, curry powder, thyme and onion (1 package). Boil the meat until it is soft to eat then separate the meat from the water, deep fry and set aside, slice the onion and put it aside.

Fry and stir until it loses its sour taste then add water from the cooked meat then add water (about 2 to 3 cups), add maggi, salt and pepper to taste then add rice and cook until it is as soft as you want (you can add water occasionally until it is soft)
