Sit Stay Fetch Review
Sit Stay Fetch is one of the more popular dog training tools on the internet and for good reason. The 186 page book is divided into several sections, each addressing a different aspect of dog ownership. Each part is divided into 5 or 6 parts and review of that part. The review is particularly good because it condenses the key points of each section onto one page for easy reference. That’s not to say that skipping to the end of each section is the best way to use this book. There is a lot of information in each section as well as research on doggy problems (aggression, barking, chewing, jumping on furniture, leaping on people, etc.)
The first chapter is mostly for people thinking about a dog or who have just got a puppy. These chapters focus on things like choosing a breed, responsible ownership, canine development stages, and choosing your pet. The third part is where dog training begins. Types of training are explained along with some secrets to training a dog. Crate training is also discussed in this area. For those who already have dogs, the first three chapters don’t really provide much information; However, for someone looking to get a dog, these sections are important.
Chapter four provides insight into how dogs use their senses and how their body language provides insight into their thoughts and behavior. I find it interesting that you can do dogs are presented and their interests are often taken care of by their owners. This chapter also covers how dogs communicate with each other as well as the similarities between wolves and dogs.
Among the remaining chapters, two are devoted to dog problems, two are devoted to teaching commands, and one deals with the pros and cons of dog whispering. The two chapters on problems are two of the longest chapters in the book. The first chapter on dog problems deals with behaviors such as aggression, biting, chewing, scratching, and barking. Research papers have been provided with many problems to show why the dog may exhibit these problems. The second part of dog problems involves allergies, wolves, chasing cars, and jumping on people. Again, relevant examples are provided with each section to further illustrate the issue at hand.
The chapter about commands is divided into basic or basic commands and advanced commands. Some important commands include “Come”, “Sit”, “Down”, “Heel”, and “Stand.” These commands are given in an easy to follow way and can be done quickly with some practice. What I like is that there is a training session to help train the dog. Advanced commands include “Catch,” “Fetch,” “Shake,” and “Rollover.” Based on my experience, some of these commands are more difficult than others to train a dog and it is not recommended to teach these commands until the dog is 6 months old and has mastered them. the command from the previous chapter.
Sit Stay Fetch is a great product that addresses many of the negative aspects of owning a dog. Even some of the less common problems are discussed and recommendations are given on how to solve these problems. I found this book to be well-placed with the exercises that are mostly on the page, but with other areas such as body language and understanding benefit from help and. The author also does a good job of promoting the product by providing a free newsletter that has additional tips for solving dog problems. Granted, you don’t need to read every chapter in order to solve a specific problem, but it’s good to see that just about every dog problem is covered.
I give Sit Stay Fetch Two Paws Up!!!
